More and more, I find myself using the word "codswallop" these days.
Been hanging out a lot on a webboard where they are fucking draconian about swearing, so you're not really allowed to call bullshit on someone by actually saying "bullshit"...so I've been using "codswallop". I thought about "balderdash", but I just can't do it...it just doesn't ( Read more... )

You know what term is breaking my brain right now? "Cowlick".
You know what a cowlick is, Alfalfa on The Little Rascals had a cowlick. It's that tuft of hair that stands up in the back of some kids' heads.
Thing is...at some point in time, you just know that a cow licked some poor kid's head, and his hair did that, and that's where the term came ( Read more... )

Why is there no word like 'both' for more than two? Like, you can say, "I was both happy and excited," but if you say, "I was both stressed, annoyed, and grumpy," people look at you funny. But it's true, man! There's no 'both' word for more than two ( Read more... )
